$1 domain registration offer is only vaild on new domain registration. This offer earlier even workerd for .IN and .CO.IN domains along with .COM, .NET, .ORG, .BIZ, .INFO tlds. Today I tried registerring more domains for 1$ and it was limited only to .com and .net domains. Also this offer workerd on domain transfers. I could transfer a few from namecheap, spaceship and porkbun. And it does not applicable to registration renewal. I confirmed with their support.
Can I pay in Indian rupees? And what are the payment modes?
Yes, you can pay in rupee. Just select the INR currency at footer of the web pages on the-online.com registrar site. I paid with my SBI credit card. They have other payment modes including patym, google pay and all UPI and even netbanking.

Right now there is no limit on number of $1 domain registrations you can have. Last time they limited it to only 2 domains per account. No need of coupon code. They’ve active promotion on their site https://the-online.com
Using the-online.com for last 2 years. One of the best domain registrar in India. Great support and sleek domain management panel. Throws domain registration promos quite often. Already migrated my domains from namecheap and godaddy. Even I had a few with namesilo which got banned in India.
